The people of St Matthew's have enjoyed serving the needs of the community for many years. People from our diverse community feel welcome here. Our members come from 26 different ethnic backgrounds. We provide free English classes to the community. Our English-immersion preschool teachers help as many as 80% of our new students learn English. Our Japanese-immersion preschool helps children expand their knowledge of Japanese language and culture. We are esepcially happy to help interested people know Jesus better through Bible study.

How long have you been in business?
St. Matthew's has been proclaiming forgiveness in Jesus since 1896.
What is your primary product or service?
The Good News of God's love. This has a positive effect on how people think and speak and act.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I had so many questions about God and justice and relationships and good/evil and whether the Bible accurately reports historical events, that I sought the answers through open-minded study. Sharing what I learned was so enjoyable because of how this knowledge helps people, that I became a pastor.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We work hard to know what the Bible actually says so that we can apply the Bible's teachings appropriately to life here and now. We maintain a worship connection to the past while making use of excellent music from today.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
St. Matthew's has just this location. But we have sister churches throughout Chicagoland, the United States, and the world, with whom we are united in faith and practice.

From the east, travel W on Golf or Dempster. Turn onto Milwaukee and follow the directions below for coming from the N or from the S. From the north, travel S on Milwaukee Ave. After crossing Golf Rd, turn R at the 3rd light onto Maryland/Church. Watch for the church on the L. From the south, travel N on Milwaukee Ave. After crossing over Dempster Rd, turn L at the next light onto Ballard. Turn R at the second street, which is Maryland. Watch for the church on the R at the end of the block. From the W, travel E on Golf. Turn R onto Greenwood. Turn L at the first light onto Church. At the third stop sign the church is in front of you.
What type of payments do you accept?
Free-will offerings are acceptable in cash or by check. Our website is capable of receiving offerings also.

Niles, Glenview, Park Ridge, Morton Grove, Skokie, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights, Chicago, and beyond.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The church is owned by the members. The staff runs daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
I'm often in the office to answer calls. My answering machine can receive your calls 24/7/365. I always return phone calls that are ministry oriented.
