This place is great! I found out about Shop Time just as I was getting ready to put in a new alternator. I'd have been trying to change it in the freezing rain, instead I rented a warm bay and worked in my t-shirt while watching the game!

What is your primary product or service?
DIY automotive maintenance and repair space. Tool rental. Auto parts and supplies. Automotive fluid disposal and recycling (oil, transimission fluid, antifreeze, power steering fluid, brake fluid). Chilton owner's manuals for all makes and models.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have always worked on my own vehicles. Sometimes under the worst possible conditions. It occured to me that someone should open a facility where automotive enthusiasts could work on their vehicles in comfort and have access to everything they need. So I decided to do it.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Shop Time, Inc is the only self-service automotive maintenance and repair center, we have been able to find, in the Northwest Suburbs. It is a unique business model created to meet a growing need.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have one location but have been asked numerous times if we plan to franchise. We would definately like to open additional locations throughout the US. We will have to give the franchising option some serious thought.

Shop Time, Inc is located in the Schaumburg industrial park, between Wise Road and the Elgin-O'Hare. From Wise Road - Turn onto Wright Blvd heading toward the 7-11. Turn left onto Lunt between the fire station and QT Signs. We are located on the right-hand side, at 627 Lunt Avenue. From the Elgin O'Hare - Take frontage road to Wright Blvd. Turn onto Wright heading under the overpass. Turn right onto Lunt between the QT Signs and the fire station. We are located on the right-hand side, at 627 Lunt Avenue.

Monday through Thursday: 10am - 10pm Friday and Saturday: 8am - 11pm Sunday 8am - 8pm Last customer in 1 hour before closing.
